Initiative: to plan and arrange active social activities to give Young Republicans the opportunity to interface with other like minded individuals outside of the monthly YR business meeting structure.

Duties: (1) Develop event strategy and planning timelines; (2) Arrange logistics and create any necessary materials for monthly and other special social events; (3) Coordinate appropriate follow-up and evaluation; and (4) Work with Executive Board to ensure that creative strategies are implemented to maximize attendance by regional Republicans.

Katelyn King


Katelyn is a lifelong native of Pittsburgh, living in Mount Lebanon. She graduated in 2010 from Duquesne University with a degree in Music Therapy and a minor in Psychology. She was an active member of the College Republicans, serving as the Service Coordinator and Treasurer. She was also Ritual Coordinator of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority, the President of the Music Therapy Student Association, and a Member of the Order of Omega. While at Duquesne, Katelyn was honored as the 2010 Greek Woman of the Year, as well as Outstanding Music Therapy Student of the Year 2010 and the Richard Gray Award 2010 for Outstanding Service. She also currently serves on the board of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Katelyn is currently employed as the Victory Coordinator for the North Hills of Pittsburgh for the Republican Party.
