Essential Public Radio Cumberland County District Attorney David Freed is the only Republican in the
Directors
Social Director:
Current Directors: Ryan Rutkowski and Katelyn King
Initiative: to plan and arrange active social activities to give Young
Republicans the opportunity to interface with other like minded individuals
outside of the monthly YR business meeting structure.
Duties: (1) Develop event strategy and planning timelines; (2) Arrange logistics
and create any necessary materials for monthly and other special social events;
(3) Coordinate appropriate follow-up and evaluation; and (4) Work with Executive
Board to ensure that creative strategies are implemented to maximize attendance
by regional Republicans.
Political Director:
Current Directors: Jay Hagerman and James Clark
Initiative: to Serve as the liaison between YRAC and political campaigns and
elected officials in Allegheny County in an effort to support and promote the
election of Republican candidates.
Duties: (1) Notify members and executive board of key political events and
volunteer opportunities; (2) Work with point people on various campaigns to set
up YRAC involvement; (3) Encourage members to participate in grassroots
political endeavors. (4) Plan and coordinate meet and greet and fundraising
events in support of Republican candidates.
Community Service Director:
Current Directors: Anne Merrick
Initiative: Build good will and a positive image for YRAC by volunteering time
to charitable organizations and a commitment to bettering the City of Pittsburgh
and surrounding municipalities in Allegheny County.
Duties: (1) Plan a volunteer event at least a month that gives back to the
community; (2) Write press release about each event so that YRAC’s volunteerism
is made known to the public; (3) Take pictures of volunteer events for website;
and (4) Foster key relationships that strengthen YRAC in Allegheny.
